If your computer does not already have Java installed (and the automatic update did not work), you can install it here.  Java is necessary in order to run the "Curriculum Maps Add/Edit" screen, allowing you to format your maps, integrate standards, attach documents, etc. 

Manual Install from The Curriculum Mapper
Please click the download link below, choose "Save As " and save the file to your local machine or network drive.  Once the file is downloaded, run the file by double-clicking it (JavaWinx.exe).  This will install Java.  Choose Typical for the type of installation and choose all of the defaults. 

Download Java for Windows  (Windows 98, ME, 2000, NT, XP)

Download Java for Windows 95 only

Once this is installed, close this window and return to the Add/Edit screen.  The Curriculum Mapper Applet should now load correctly.  Please respond "Yes" or "Always " when asked if you trust applications from The Curriculum Mappper.

Auto Install from Sun Microsystems
To automatically install the latest version of Java, click here.  You will be automatically sent to Sun Microsystems, which will begin the one-time installation on your computer.

If you have a Macintosh OS 10.2 computer, Java is already embedded in your operating system.  The best way to get any updates is to do the following:

Under your Apple menu at the top left of your computer screen, choose System Preferences, then Software Update.  Click "Check Now" to view/install the latest updates form Apple.  If, after installing updates, you still encounter problems with the Add/Edit screen, please call tech support at 800.318.4555 or email us at support@curriculummapper.com.  Thank you.
