Common Reasons for Login Failure

Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
Thus, dafq359 is a different password than Dafq359

1.  The most common reason for login failure is unintentionally having the "Caps Lock" key on when your password is not all capital letters.  If your password is not in all capital letters, make sure that the Caps Lock feature is off and try again.  If your password has both lower and uppercase letters, then make sure your Caps Lock feature is off and type your password capitalizing those letters that are in uppercase.  If you password is in all uppercase, turn your Caps Lock feature on and type your password without using the shift key.

2,  Be sure that cookies are enabled on your Internet browser. Curriculum Mapper uses cookies authenticate you and provide security for the system.  If you are unsure what cookies are (or if they are enabled), use the help feature on Internet Explorer or Netscape.

3.  Your account may have been disabled by your school coordinator. Check with your school coordinator to be sure your account is still active.

4.  Your school Coordinator may have changed your password. Your school coordinator has the ability to change your password (although s/he can not see what your current password is).  Check with your school coordinator to be sure s/he  has not changed your password to a different value.

5.  Be sure you are on the correct website. Curriculum Mapper has a demonstration website as well as a "live" site.  If you are a  Curriculum Mapper subscriber, the word "demonstration" should NOT  appear anywhere in the web address at the top of your screen..
[If you are evaluating Curriculum Mapper and have an 8-digit access code,  check to be sure that the word "demonstration" appears  somewhere in the web address in your address bar at the top of the screen.]
